Shahla Latifi was born and raised in Kabul, Afghanistan. Currently, she lives in Florida and spends her time writing. Her first Farsi poetry selection (Parastootah) was published in 2013. She has her second Farsi poetry collection (Asal Wahshi), which was printed in 2015. Many of her poems deal with topics such as love, humanity, equality, and happiness. A passionate Persian author and poet, she began writing in Farsi, her native tongue. Recently, she started writing in English so she can connect with younger readers and poem enthusiasts in Iran and the US aside from her home country.
